A LITTLE ABOUT THE GAME

The classic mine-clearing puzzle. Read the numbers, flag the mines, never guess.

The puzzle that came with every desktop, rebuilt for any screen. Open squares on a rounded minefield: each number tells you how many of the eight squares around it hide mines. Flag the ones you are sure of, then open a number whose flags match it to clear the rest of its neighbours in one go. Your first square is always safe and opens an area. Play Beginner, Intermediate or Expert, in Classic mode with mines dealt at random, or in No guessing mode, where every board can be cleared by logic alone from your first square. On a phone, long-press to flag or switch on flag mode, and Expert turns on its side to fit a tall screen. Time starts at your first square, so fresh boards can count for the Plocky leaderboards.
